We are BETA NOPS and UFAS Accredited

After years of planning and months of hard work we are proud to announce that Premier Performance are BETA NOPS and UFAS Accredited. All 48 products in our range now carry the BETA NOPS and UFAS accreditation and logos.

What does this mean?

UFAS (Universal Feed Assurance Scheme) accredited
This means that we can guarantee full traceability on all the natural ingredients (that’s all of our ingredients!) we utilise in our product range, in compliance with the FEI guidelines for Clean Sport.

BETA NOPS accredited
We are 100% committed maintaining the high expectations of BETA NOPS – It means as a company, we can ensure that all of our products are of the highest standard available for competition use, reducing your risk of disqualification or contamination from a banned or potentially harmful substance.

When it comes to quality ingredients we always knew that we went the extra mile, and this is just the badge to prove it.

Does it affect you?
Anyone who is a member of an equestrian sporting discipline and is eligible for participation can expect their horse(s) to be tested. This includes equestrian sports and member bodies such as BD, BE, BS, Para Equestrian Dressage, Driving, Endurance, Reining, Vaulting and British Riding Clubs.

Camilla, Owner at Premier Performance: "We bake, mix and manufacture our products on site here in Bedfordshire and to have been through this testing and accreditation process with excellent feedback was a really monumental day for us all. The team have worked so hard!"

We are very proud to have both of these accreditations to our name.

What does this REALLY mean?

When using the Premier Performance products you can compete with the confidence that your horse won’t present a positive blood test thanks to our BETA/NOPS and UFAS accreditations.

For those that might not know what this means:

UFAS (Universal Feed Assurance Scheme) and BETA/NOPS (Feed Assurance for Non-Medicated Feeds) accreditations are absolutely critical for horses competing in various disciplines.

Drug-Free Assurance: One of the foremost concerns for competitive horse owners and riders is ensuring that their horses are not inadvertently exposed to prohibited substances. UFAS and BETA/NOPS accreditations provide assurance that the supplements given to horses are free from prohibited substances, including medications and contaminants that could lead to positive drug tests during competitions.

Maintaining Eligibility: Many equestrian competitions have strict rules and regulations regarding the use of medications and substances in horses. Failure to adhere to these rules can result in disqualification, fines, or even suspension from competition. By using feeds with UFAS and BETA/NOPS accreditations, horse owners can confidently comply with these regulations, thus safeguarding their eligibility to compete.

Health and Performance: The quality of the feed directly impacts the health and performance of the horse. Horse Supplements accredited under UFAS and BETA/NOPS undergo rigorous quality control measures, ensuring that they contain the right balance of nutrients for optimal health and performance. This can contribute to improved energy levels, muscle development, coat condition, and overall well-being, which are crucial for competitive success.

Peace of Mind: Competing with a horse involves significant time, effort, and financial investment. Using horse supplements with UFAS and BETA/NOPS accreditations provides peace of mind to owners and riders, knowing that they are providing their horses with the highest quality, safest nutrition available. This confidence allows them to focus on training and competing without worrying about the potential risks associated with supplement contamination.

Maintaining Integrity: Upholding the integrity of the sport is paramount for equestrian competitors. By choosing horse supplements with UFAS and BETA/NOPS accreditations, horse owners demonstrate their commitment to fair play and ethical competition. They contribute to creating a level playing field where success is determined by skill, training, and talent rather than unfair advantages gained through prohibited substances.
